SDCSP launches 5-year strategic plan

SOUTH Dublin County Sports Partnership (SDCSP) has launched a five-year strategic plan.

“As Strategic Plan publications go it's very unique because it is a two-page document” insisted SDCSP Co-ordinator Thos McDermott.

“This is intended to be a living plan, one that won’t be put on a shelf not to be looked at again, but rather, to be easily read, easily understood and often referenced when looking at our annual actions” he stressed.

The new strategic plan contains three primary focus areas – training, community-wide activities and administrative support  - or as the plan states, ‘to Lead, to Inspire, to Enhance’.

SDCSP is committed to participation by all of the community in healthy physical activity, regardless of age, background or ability and in this respect, there is a strong focus in the plan on partnerships with clubs, schools, public agencies and community groups.

The plan will be available to view on and McDermott welcomes any comment and ideas from the community that will help to achieve their goal of getting people active.
