Plotting an Open Day for Friarstown

THE community is invited to attend the third annual Friarstown Allotments Open Day this Saturday, July 28.

Located in Bohernabreena, just beyond St Anne’s Church, the allotments have been growing strong in recent years – and with 300 plots is the largest of South Dublin County Council’s allotments.

This Saturday the South Dublin Allotment Association, in partnership with the council, is inviting the public to visit Friarstown Allotments and enjoy a walk-about, a Best in Produce competition, including a chance to meet the plot owners.

The open day will run from 12 noon to 4pm, with all welcome.
