Preparations well underway for 4 Districts Patrick’s Day Parade

PREPARATIONS are underway for the 4 Districts St Patrick’s Day Parade next month, with the theme confirmed as Music Legends.

The popular parade will comprise groups from the communities of Rathcoole, Saggart, Brittas and Newcastle.

The parade will begin at Rathlawns in Rathcoole at 2pm, and then wind its way through Saggart village.

The parade’s grand marshal has not yet been confirmed, but it looks like the parade will be an exciting event for all the family.

Sharon Redmond, one of the parade’s organisers, told The Echo: “We are expecting all our groups to take part again this year, so we are expecting a huge turnout as usual.

“We expect that approximately 200 people will take part in the parade.”
