Gardai observed a minute silence outside Tallaght Garda Station led by a lone piper at noon today for the late Detective Garda Colm Horkan.

The funeral took place in Charlestown, County Mayo. #ColmRIP

Tallaght father Mick Morrissey issues an important message after his son Alex tragically passed away

Tallaght father Mick Morrissey issues an important message to the community after his 15-year-old son Alex Ryan Morrissey tragically passed away last week.

Alex was found unresponsive in the Ballycullen area on Wednesday, May 20.

Emergency services were called and the boy was taken by ambulance to the Children’s Hospital Crumlin, where he sadly passed away.

Sixteen of Ireland’s most iconic sports stars have joined forces to send a video message to the nation as our country continues to tackle the COVID-19 challenge.

The local sports stars included in the video are Pádraig Harrington from Ballyroan; Katie McCabe from Kilnamanagh; Robbie Keane from Tallaght; Paul McGrath from Inchicore and Annalise Murphy from Rathfarnham.
